Missoni started out as a tiny knitwear company making tracksuits for the Italian hurdles team - of which owner Ottavio Missoni was a member - for the 1948 Olympic Games in London. There, together with his future wife, Rosita, Missoni created one of the most recognisable fashion houses in the world. From the beginning, their colourful designs, inspired by folk art, set the label apart. Now in the second generation, its patterns show no signs of fading.
