If you’re already regretting the decision to jump on the health bandwagon this season, then you’re not alone. Facing the Christmas comedown with nothing but green tea and a sad bag of kale chips may seem unappealing – but once you’ve sobered up a little, checked your bank balance and tried to squeeze into your jeans – you may feel differently.

It’s the first Saturday of the month and if you’re anything like us, you might be starting to get a little restless by now. Hang on in there, only 24 days to – oh wait, never mind. Anyway, no better way to release some of that FOMO than a good work out. But forget slogging it out on the treadmill, the latest trend making waves in the fitness world mashes up exercise with live DJs, strobe lighting and neon accents. From nightclub boxing to hip-hop yoga – it’s never been easier to get that natural high.
DRY JAN SWAP TWO: THE COCKTAIL BAR FOR THE JUICE BAR
It’s almost 6 pm, and you’re just about ready to head home, work out and cook a gourmet raw dinner (#smug). It’s all going swimmingly when bam, your colleague suggests post-work cocktails. Cue a wave of judgement that may well become the soundtrack to your month. There’s no need to be a complete killjoy – you can still join in, just resist temptation and opt for a superfood mocktail instead. Challenge the bartender to make you something healthy and wake up without that inevitable next day regret (#smugparttwo).
DRY JAN SWAP THREE: BOOZY BRUNCH FOR THE YOGA LUNCH
While Sundays are typically made for Bloody Marys, bacon and reliving last night’s events behind oversized shades, the new you will have far too much energy for that. Instead it’s time to take care of your mind, body and spirit with a zen yoga session followed by a nutritious lunch. So get your prettiest workout wear on and enter the new week feeling clear, aligned stress-free.

If you stayed on track, by the end of the month not only should you be sleeping better and feeling more energised, you should also be sporting glowing skin, a slimmer waistline and a healthy bank balance to boot. There’s only one thing left to do – treat yourself!
